Maldon, Essex, 15 October 2026. TECNIQ, the British design, engineering and manufacturing business backed by Tioopo Capital since March 2025, has broken ground on its new purpose-built factory and headquarters at Oval Park, Maldon, Essex.
The development marks the second time Tioopo Capital has built a new production site from scratch for a portfolio company, following the factory built four years ago for CDV, its first investment. The logic is the same in both cases: when a business doubles in size, it needs space.
Built for growth
Since Tioopo Capital's investment, TECNIQ has doubled its revenue and recruited 150 people, growing from 190 to more than 330 employees. The team has already outgrown more than 100,000 sq ft spread across several sites in Witham. Oval Park is the ramp for the next step: taking TECNIQ past £100m of revenue in the foreseeable future.
The new facility will bring TECNIQ's operations together under one roof, from design and engineering through to tooling, prototyping, testing and production. In-house capabilities include low-pressure injection moulding, leather and Alcantara trimming, structural and non-structural carbon fibre production, coatings, assembly, and laser etching and marking, all delivered with Formula 1-grade machinery, processes and talent.
The project is split into two phases. Phase One, on the south plot, is scheduled for completion in mid-2027. Development of the adjoining plot will follow as programmes expand.

Designed for efficiency and sustainability
The building is designed to achieve an EPC A rating, with rooftop solar panels generating renewable electricity on site, high-performance glazing and insulation, high-efficiency lighting throughout, a sustainable surface water drainage strategy and electric vehicle charge points for staff and visitors.
Investing in people
The new facility will support the continued growth of TECNIQ's apprenticeship programme, recognised with a Princess Royal Training Award. TECNIQ currently employs 16 apprentices in partnership with Colchester Institute and plans to expand the programme as the business grows.
A long-term partnership
Tioopo Capital acquired a majority stake in TECNIQ in March 2025 with a clear ambition: strengthen the company's client relationships, expand its international footprint and cement its leadership in the ultra-premium bespoke automotive market, while preserving the family business DNA that made TECNIQ what it is. The Oval Park development is a tangible expression of that partnership.
